Video Lip Sync — Re-Sync Any Clip to New Audio

Who this is for: For creators and editors who already have footage: dubbing a clip into another take, replacing bad audio with a clean line, matching a translation's timing, or giving a character footage new dialogue.

Upload a video, drop in new audio, and the mouth in the footage is re-synced to the new soundtrack — dub a clip, fix a take, or swap the lines.

Quick answer: Video lip sync re-renders the mouth in existing footage to match a new audio track: upload a clip (up to 10MB) and up to 10 seconds of audio, and the lips are redrawn to the new sound while everything else stays untouched. One free video a day, no signup.

How video lip sync works

Video lip sync takes footage that already exists — someone talking on camera — and redraws just the mouth region, frame by frame, so it lines up with a new audio track. The person, the scene, the lighting and everything else in the frame stay exactly as filmed; only the lips move to the new sound.

This page runs the Sync Lipsync model (v1.9). You upload a short clip plus the new audio, both are prepared locally (audio becomes a clean WAV, the video is passed as-is up to 10MB), and the engine re-renders the mouth region to match. When the audio and video are different lengths, the default mode cuts the output to the shorter of the two — so a 10-second line on a 30-second clip gives you a 10-second video.

Good candidates: a talking-head take where the audio was ruined by wind, a clip you want in another language, a mascot or puppet video getting new lines, or a joke you want to 're-dub' for a group chat. Keep clips short — 10 seconds of audio of speaking, faces reasonably large in frame — and the model has everything it needs.

Common uses

  • Rescuing a good take whose audio was ruined by background noise
  • Dubbing a short clip so the mouth matches a translated line
  • Giving character or puppet footage new dialogue
  • Fixing a flubbed line without reshooting the whole clip
  • Matching a pre-recorded voiceover to existing footage

Frequently Asked Questions

What video formats and sizes work?
MP4, MOV, WebM and M4V up to 10MB. That covers a few seconds of 1080p or a longer 720p clip. For best results keep the face large in frame and the clip to one speaker.
What happens if my audio is longer than the video?
By default the output is cut to the shorter of the two tracks — so the lips never drift and nothing is invented. If the audio is 8 seconds and the video is 20, you get a clean 8-second result.
Can it handle more than one face?
The model focuses on the most prominent face. Clips with one clear speaker work best; two people talking alternately in a wide shot is beyond what a 10-second take can reliably handle.
Does the rest of the video change?
No. The scene, background, body and lighting stay as filmed — only the mouth region is re-rendered to match the new audio. That's the difference between lip sync (this tool) and generative video, which redraws everything.
Is the footage stored?
No — your clip and audio pass through to the generation engine to produce the result, and nothing is kept on our side. Download the output within 24 hours; after that the link expires.
Can I use any footage?
Only footage you have the rights to, and only with the consent of the people in it. Don't take someone's video and put words in their mouth — that's the one line this tool shouldn't cross, and it's written into our terms.
